| text | I wasn’t feeling myself so my mum took me to the doctor thinking it was a urine infection. Until a week later we went back and that’s when the doctor told me I have diabetes. So from there on i went to hospital and that’s when I learnt what diabetes is and what to do next. I had to stay in hospital for a whole week. And it only took me two days for me to do my own injections. Over the next few days lots of doctors and nurses came to see me. I saw the dietician and she told me what i could eat and what I couldn’t. It was fun in hospital because i had never been to hospital before. I was in a room with three other girls. Since I have come home I have been managing very well and I have taught my family and friends how to cope and deal with my hypo’s and also sometimes I have a naughty day when I have something I am not suppose to have but its not very often. It has come up for one year at the end of this month and I feel I am dealing and coping very well and its not the worst illness you can have. | |||
