DIABETES ESSAY AND POEM COMPETITION 2009

Benjmin 24/06 10 JDRF Type One Diabetes

Just in case you do not know
Diabetes may not show
Right away I did not know
Five I was when I found out though

Type One is the one that I have got
You have to do injections a lot
Pin pricks I also do
Each reading is important too

Once the injections are all done
Now its time to go and have fun
Everybody helps me out
Dad and Mum are always about

Insulin is what I use
And the numbers tell me what I choose
Ben is my name I have to say
Every sport I can still play

There is nothing I cannot do
Everything I still fit in the day……
Diabetes is OK
