Ceri 02/06 8 Ceri's Diabetic Poem

When you are low go with the flow
When you are fine it's like being on time
When you test for ketones you use some urine (but not any chlorine)
When you use a test strip
Put the blood on drip - drip - drip

I know it's annoying
We huff and puff and think life's rough!
I know it's not fair
But there are loads of people
Who are diabetic out there
Relax it could be worse - you could have
No GP or no nurse
For an injection with our insulin pen
When do we do it?
When, when, when?
Once I forgot
To do my air shot...

If you eat healthy food
You'll end up in a good mood
Be wise and do some exercise
You're fab come on and do your jab
Bring your hypo kit everywhere
Even if it's to a shop or a fair
You can still have an occasional treat

Go on do your injection to perfection!

We are not pathetic we're just diabetic!
