One or two cookies and a slice of cake,
Icing on top and something fresh baked.
Sugar on cereal, snacking on sweets
These are a few of my favourite treats.
Eating what you want, when you want too,
Staying up through the night, all the way through.
Going to parties and doing fun things,
These are a few of my favourite things.
When I am high,
When the test stings,
When the needle hurts,
I simply remember my favourite things,
And then I shouldn’t feel so bad.
But I can’t always have them,
And that’s why I’m sad
I think of my diabetes
What else I could have had.
I simply remember my favourite things,
And realise it’s really not that bad!
