The girl I knew
Long black hair they simmered in the sun
Blue stars twinkled in her eyes fair skin she had just like snow
I say. Pink lips so small and rough it felt like walking on egg shells.
So tall and pail.
She is the girl I new yes! She is the girl I new! She was like an older sister for me
She looked out for me made sure I hade taken my medicine on time I wish there was a way I could repay her for her kindness , care and love that she gave me .
But unfortunately her voice faded away day by day
She lay in hospital beds till she past away. It cause she had diabetes and never told any one and never took her medicine.
Tell someone and you will receive the help you need or you'll end up like my dear friend..

When did you find out?
I realized I had diabetes when I was sitting on the loo
I went to the doctors he told me to take seven to eleven injections and I was a afraid I was going to
Get seventy more scary infections.
I have a friend called Connie the cow.
She tells me what to eat. She tells me when to sleep.
She told me not to frown because I look like a scary hound.
She told me to stand tall throw a ball so high that it fly's past the sky. And not to live life as a rough knife.
To be proud and stand in a tall crowd and shout I HAVE DIABETES I don't want to live in a dark dole cave
Any more life is an adventure and I want to live it. Don't be a afraid to show who you are if you have diabetes be proud of it because it's not going to go away my mum hade a friend with type1 diabetes I understood diabetes whit her help she did not sit in a corner and cry out I have diabetes she was filled with fun and laugher she was only a friend but it felt like she was family but sadly she past away.. I can't remember but I think it's been nearly a year with out. Her daughter is married and is pregnant and got type one diabetes now. If you don't treat your self with the medicine you need you won't be on your legs for long you'll be in hospital bed wishing you hand taken your medicine. You will feel confused at first but read leaflets and magazines on diabetes you will get the hang of controlling diabetes if you feel like saying something about diabetes tell your parent write it your diary or tell your doctor you will fell happy then sad or even moody its all part of diabetes . You will have check ups to see if your diabetes has improved or not you will receive a dairy to record your blood sugar. Don't think your alone there are loads of people to help you.
