Your worst nightmare.
text

your eyes close, you try to open them but you just can't. You hear footsteps all around, voices are echoing in your head. You try to respond, you want to respond but you can't, you just can't. You hear footsteps they're getting closer, the smell, the atmosphere is familiar. A friendly hand is placed on top of your arm, it's mum. She's here! you're not alone. "don't worry darling," she’s there reassuring you "everything will be okay", "No mum it wont, everything wont be okay!" But she doesn't hear, she stays there but doesn't speak. She kisses you on the cheek and then slowly exits the room. and You're alone in an unfamiliar world.

"where am i?" you hear myself think over and over again. "Hello, I'm Jane a nurse. You're in hospital in a diabetic coma." A what you think "A what?" you say, and she hears you, she really hears you "Hello, It's nice to know your back with us and you're in a diabetic coma, you have been diagnosed with type 1 diabetes." your eyes are still closed and your drowsy but you reply "what’s that?" "it's a serious condition that affects many people, but don’t worry about that we'll have you back to normal in a jippy." She leaves the room. A few minutes later you hear footsteps quite a lot this time. You manage to open your eyes, and there standing right in front of you is mum, dad and your little brother Sam. You cant help but smile.

"GET UP NOW SARAH!" you open your eyes and there is mum. You go downstairs and it suddenly sinks in, you're not in a diabetic coma, it was just a dream nothing but a dream a silly, little dream! you take your insulin ready for a normal day, as a normal person in a normal world, living a normal life.
