title | My Sister's Diabetes Through My Eyes.
text |
I felt a bit jealous when she came back knowing that she was diabetic because she was getting a lot of attention. Then the next day she wasn't eating a lot of sweets and the day after and the day after that. So I went to see her and she explained to me all how her diabetes worked and that she couldn't have a lot of sweets. Also she had to inject something called insulin into her and she has to check her blood sugars sometimes. I feel now that she is improving her skills and she is becoming a very good diabetic. She has adapted many skills and is barely ever having a hypo. Diabetes has not stopped her playing sport and having fun I am happy to say. I don't have to worry about her as much as I use to, she has become an example to all the people in the world which have diabetes. First I was jealous and then I realised that it is now just a part of my sister.
