title | The diabetic life of me
text |
I have been diagnosed with diabetes for around 6 years and it has effected my life a lot.It has effected my life a lot because all my mates and all my family can eat tons of stuff when they want but i have to have my insulin done which makes me not want anything because, i hate doing my insulin. when i very first started to do my insulin it use to hurt me alot but as i gradually grew up and did more injection's i got use to it and the trouble with me is that i mostly go into hypos when i go out places and when i do alot of execise.when i got diagnosed i lived in germany and had to do 3 injections a day but when i came to england i had to do 2, but what i have done now is go on to 4 injections a day and this method work's better for me.when my bloods are below 4.5 i don't use sugar blocks (dextros) i eat my food first and do my insulin after and that is better because when i use dextros i have to wait 5 mins before i can eat my food and i am a very big eater.when i have hypos my mum is worried when she is by herself incase something terrible happens like i have to go into hospital. i remeber one time when i was in hospital and i was really sad because i hate being diabetic and i hate staying in the hospital for a very long time (but at least i stay off school). this is abit of my life with diabetics and i hope you give me a metioned thank you for reading it.
