DIABETES ESSAY AND POEM COMPETITION 2010

Katie 30/06 10 THE DIABEATORS.

Inside a human it hides away
And that is where it will stay
It doesn’t like humans you see
Well at least it didn’t like me

Ah Ha found out by a man in white
It whined and sniveled and said it’s sorry
And told me that I needn’t worry
Alas it broke its unsteady word
Then didn’t undo the mayhem it stirred!

Back then I didn’t know what
I didn’t know when and didn’t know how
Nowadays it’s back in its cage
Minus a bit of anger and rage!

We’ve gone from pens to pumps
Along with lots of lumps and bumps
Plus a few family grumps
But hurrah we’ve made the jump!

BECAUSE WE ARE THE DIABEATORS!!!
